Biography

George Decker has been with R.A. Rezzelle since 2000 providing mechanical engineering and design support to capital project and maintenance engineers for the pulp and paper industry. George’s engineering and design experience include production and safety improvement modifications to a variety of paper making and converting equipment, complete machine design from concept to manufacture and installation, equipment layouts, structural platforms, ladders and stairs.

Hard & Soft Skills

George’s machine design experience includes working with bearings of all types, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, power transmission devices such as electric and pneumatic motors, gearboxes, pulleys, sprockets, chains, belts and more.

With this engineering and design experience he has provided all the necessary documentation in CADAM, AutoCad and SolidWorks for manufacture of parts and equipment per current industry standards such as ANSI, OSHA, ISO and more. Documentation includes general assembly layouts, assembly drawings, detailed drawings, forge drawings, casting drawings, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics, and structural drawings. He has also provided 3D machine concept and illustration drawings for presentations.

Some of his past design experience include making modifications to high speed mail processing equipment, concept designs for container and material handling, re-designs for fiberglass manufacturing machines, design’s for drum de-barkers, log chippers and  chipper spouts.
